St. Florian, Alabama

St. Florian is a town in Lauderdale County, Alabama, United States.

[3] The present community was founded in the 1870s by a colony of Germans who named the town after Saint Florian.

[4] A post office was established at St. Florian in 1879, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1904.

[7] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.0 square miles (7.8 km2), all land.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.81% White, 0.60% Black or African American and 0.60% Asian.
