St. Patrick station

The murder of Mariam Peters here in 1975 prompted the TTC to adopt system-wide safety measures such as the first police patrols on the subway and the installation of emergency telephones and alarms.

Nearby landmarks include St. Patrick's Church, The Michener Institute, the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the Consulate General of the United States, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Textile Museum of Canada, the Ontario College of Art and Design, and the Hospital for Sick Children.

[5][6] A ceremony was held on March 5, 2019, to officially celebrate St. Patrick as the 45th accessible TTC subway station.

[8] As of January 2025,[update] further renovations at the station have been ongoing since the fourth quarter of 2023, including asbestos removal and cosmetic upgrades such as new wall finishes.

[9] Some riders have expressed frustration with the station's safety and appearance due to a lack of proper wayfinding signage and missing tiles.
