St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Kolenchery

[2] In 345 AD, a family known as 'those who came from Syria' came along with Thomas of Cana and settled in the merchant centre of Kozhenchery.

As Kolenchery Church[3] was also his quarters for some time, the parishioners demanded that the body be buried there.

It was agreed and Mar Thoma VII was buried at Kolenchery church on 22nd Mithunam (5 July), 1809.
