The structure is currently used as the meeting place of St Davids City Council and as a public library.
[5] The new building was designed by Frank Ingleton of Haverfordwest in the Italianate style, built in brick with a roughcast finish and was completed in 1924.
The central section of three bays, which was slightly projected forward, featured a double doorway with a rectangular fanlight flanked by grey brick pilasters supporting an entablature inscribed with the words "City Hall", and a cornice.
[11] An extensive programme of works, which included the installation of a new porch and a new colour on the roughcast finish, was completed in 2002.
[7] The BBC documentary series, Pembrokeshire: Land of Dreams, was launched by the politician, Glynn Davies, at the City Hall in January 2005.
