Stanley Shoveller

Stanley Howard Shoveller MC (2 September 1881 – 24 February 1959) was a field hockey player,[1] who won a gold medal with the England team at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London.

Twelve years later, when Antwerp hosted the 1920 Summer Olympics, he once again won the gold medal with the Great Britain and Ireland squad, at age 39.

[4] In World War I, he was awarded an MC for his service with the Rifle Brigade.
