Stare Krzewo

Stare Krzewo [ˈstarɛ ˈkʂɛvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zawady, within Białystok County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.

[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-west of Zawady and 38 km (24 mi) west of the regional capital Białystok.

[2] During World War II, the village was occupied by the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1941, and by Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1944.

In 1941, the Germans established a forced labour camp in the village.
