State disability benefits

It partially replaces wages in the event a worker is unable to perform their work due to a disability.

These organisations have specific definitions regarding what is a disability and how a person should qualify in order to receive the benefit.

Employees can lower the tax they have to pay to their state, by the fact that their contributions are tax-deductible.

The person is eligible for the care component if they cannot do everyday tasks (e.g. washing, dressing, eating, using the toilet etc.)

There are two levels: lower (for guidance or supervision outdoors) and higher (for more severe walking difficulties).

Since 2010, there is just one category of benefits, the invalidity pension, which is divided into three degrees corresponding with the severity of the person's disability.
