Stavča Vas

Stavča Vas (pronounced [ˈstaːu̯tʃa ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Stavča vas, German: Deutschdorf[2]) is a village on the right bank of the Krka River in the Municipality of Žužemberk in southeastern Slovenia.

The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

[3] The settlement includes the formerly independent village of Cegelnica (German: Ziegelstatt).

[2] The local church is dedicated to Saint Cantius (Slovene: sveti Kancijan) and belongs to the Parish of Žužemberk.

It is a medieval building that was restyled in the Baroque style in the 18th century, when a new belfry was also built.
