Stephen Mallinga

Stephen Oscar Mallinga (17 November 1943 – 11 April 2013) was a Ugandan medical doctor and politician.

He was also the elected Member of Parliament (MP), representing the Butebo County Constituency, in Pallisa District.

From 1978 until 1985, he served as the chairperson, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

He was elected Member of Parliament for Butebo County, in Pallisa District, in 1996, a position he held up to his death.

Originally a member of the Uganda People's Congress political party, he joined the ruling National Resistance Movement on 1 March 2005.
