Stephen Stewart (basketball)

Stephen Stewart (born c. 1972) is an American former basketball player and coach.

Stewart grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Parkway Center City High School.

[1] After graduation, he enrolled at Coppin State University to play for head coach Fang Mitchell.

[2] In his final two seasons he was a First Team All-MEAC performer, and as a senior in 1994–95 he scored 19 points in a first-round victory over Saint Joseph's in the 1995 NIT.

His older brother Larry was also a two-time MEAC Player of the Year; he then went on to play in the NBA as well as internationally.
