Steve Davis (umpire)

Stephen James Davis (born 9 April 1952) is a former Australian Test cricket match umpire, from South Australia.

Davis suffered a knee injury and was replaced after the second day by local umpire John Smeaton.

Davis officiated in 3 matches in the 2007 Cricket World Cup, which led to his promotion to the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in 2008.

On 3 March 2009, Davis was one of the officials caught in the attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team by terrorists in Lahore, Pakistan.

[2] On 9 March 2011 Davis umpired in his 100th one day international when standing at the World Cup group game between India and Netherlands at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.
