Strančice

Strančice is a municipality and village in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

[3] Strančice is located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southeast of Prague.

The main impetus for the development of the village was the construction of the railway in 1871.

[7] A valuable pair of buildings are the former synagogue and rabbi's house, which date from 1849.

It is originally a Gothic church, rebuilt in the Baroque style.
