Stutfield Peak

Stutfield Peak is a mountain in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.

It is located at the northern end of the Columbia Icefield, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north-west from Mount Kitchener, in the Winston Churchill Range of the Canadian Rockies.

[1] In 1899, mountaineer J. Norman Collie named the mountain after Hugh Stutfield, who climbed with Collie during his exploration of the Canadian Rockies.

[1] Stufield Glacier was also named after Hugh Stutfield, and flows southeast from the peak, in the Columbia Icefield.

[4] Temperatures can drop below −20 °C (−4 °F) with wind chill factors below −30 °C (−22 °F).
