Stuyvesant (/ˈstaɪvəsənt/ STY-və-sənt)[2] is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States.
The Requa House, R. and W. Scott Ice Company Powerhouse and Ice House Site, Stuyvesant Railroad Station, Johannis L. Van Alen Farm, and William A. Witbeck House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
[4] The western town line, marked by the center of the Hudson River, is the border of Greene County, and the northern town line is the border of Rensselaer County.
Kinderhook Creek passes through the southeastern part of the town.
20.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
