Countries of origin in sub-Saharan Africa include Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea,Cameroon, Mali, and Senegal.

In addition the following suburban municipalities had African settlement: Charenton, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Ivry-sur-Seine, Montreuil, and Pantin.
