After winning the 2012 Close Up1 contest, she moved to Dhaka and studied at the University Of Development Alternative (UODA), She completed her Bachelor of Music in 2017 and her Master of Music in 2019 from the University of Development Alternative (UODA), Dhaka.

Laila’s formal music career began in 2010 when she became an enlisted singer at Rajshahi Betar.

From a age of 10, she was immersed in the world of folk music, guided by her father, Md.

She gained further popularity when she released her songs Sokhi Go Amar Mon Vala Na, Ontorete Dag Lagaiya Re, Mon Pakhi, Noya Bari, Amar Bondhur Mon Vala Na, Ek Khan Pan Chailam Pan Dilana, Apon Manush Chena Boro Day, and Tumi Mano Ar Na Mano.
