Sun Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washoe County, Nevada, United States.

The community is located within Sun Valley approximately three miles north of Reno on Nevada State Route 443.

There were 6,703 housing units at an average density of 446.8 per square mile (172.5/km2).
