Sunman, Indiana

Sunman is a town in Adams Township, Ripley County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

[4] John Sunman, an early postmaster, gave the place his name.

[5] Sunman began as a town in 1856 when the railroad was extended to that point.

[6] According to the 2010 census, Sunman has a total area of 1.17 square miles (3.03 km2), all land.

[7] The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
