Sunset Hills, Missouri

Sunset Hills is a city in south[broken anchor] St. Louis County, Missouri, United States.

[6] The 2020 United States census[8] counted 9,198 people, 3,415 households, and 2,438 families in Sunset Hills.

Of all households, 26.5% consisted of individuals and 20.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

As of the 2010 United States census[10] of 2010, there were 8,496 people, 3,424 households, and 2,422 families living in the city.

As of the 2000 United States census,[4] there were 8,267 people, 3,217 households, and 2,351 families living in the city.

As of the 1990 United States census, the city had 4,915 residents; due to a series of annexations during the 1990s, the population grew to 7,885 by 1997.

[1] Around noon on December 31, 2010, an EF3 tornado struck Sunset Hills, destroying several businesses and homes, killing one person, and injuring others in a three- to four-block area around Lindbergh Boulevard.

It has rotating indoor exhibitions and numerous large sculptures on the park grounds.

The Sunset Hills Community Center provides fitness and health services.

There are 20 pieces of cardio equipment including of treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and striders.

The Community Center has a gym and meeting rooms that can be used and rented by residents and non-residents.

Park amenities include: [15] The Cities of Sunset Hills and Crestwood came together to create a community dog park located in Sunset Hills near its border with neighboring Crestwood.

Residents of both Sunset Hills and Crestwood can apply for a membership for their dogs for $40 per year.

The fields are used by our softball leagues, athletic associations, and tournaments and are also available for rent.
