Susan P. Coppedge

Susan P. Coppedge is an American attorney and diplomat, who previously served as United States Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.

Coppedge graduated from Dalton High School[6] and earned a BA in public policy studies from Duke University in 1988.

[8] In 1995 Coppedge joined the United States Department of Justice through the Honors Program as a trial attorney in the Environmental Enforcement Section.

With the fellowship, she was able to spend six months with New Zealand's Ministry of Justice studying and evaluating the country's human trafficking laws and prosecutions.

In October 2022, Coppedge joined the Council for Responsible Social Media project launched by Issue One to address the negative mental, civic, and public health impacts of social media in the United States co-chaired by former House Democratic Caucus Leader Dick Gephardt and former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey.
