Swimming at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 metre breaststroke

The women's 100 metre breaststroke event at the 2024 Summer Olympics was held from 28 to 29 July 2024 at Paris La Défense Arena.

Prior to this competition, the existing world and Olympic records were as follows.

Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) was permitted to enter a maximum of two qualified athletes in each individual event, but only if both of them had attained the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT).

[3][4] Finally, the rest of the spaces were filled by athletes who had met the Olympic Consideration Time (OCT), which was 1:07.12 for this event.

[3] In total, 23 athletes qualified through achieving the OQT, twelve athletes qualified through universality places and two athletes qualified through achieving the OCT.[4] The competition consists of three rounds: heats, semifinals, and a final.
