Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963

The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR) held a national final on 9 February 1963 at 20:30 CET (18:30 UTC) in Geneva.

[2][3] The national final was presented by Heidi Abel, Mascia Cantoni [it], and Claude Evelyne.

The voting consisted of three sets of nine-member regional juries from Zürich, Lugano, and Geneva.

[2][3][4] The winner was Esther Ofarim, with the song "T'en va pas", written by Émile Gardaz and composed by Géo Voumard, the same songwriting duo who composed the Swiss entries from 1957, 1961, and 1962, as well as the winning song of the 1956 contest, "Refrain."

Before the faulty votes were evaluated, Switzerland originally won with 42 points, 2 ahead of Denmark.
