Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986

Swiss German and Romansh broadcaster Schweizer Fernsehen der deutschen und rätoromanischen Schweiz (SF DRS) was in charge of staging and broadcasting the selection of the Swiss entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1986.

It held the national final on 25 January 1986 at 21:15 CET, at its studios in Zürich, hosted by singer Paola del Medico who previously represented Switzerland in 1969 and 1980.

French, German and Italian were represented equally in the national final, with three songs in each language.

The winning entry was "Pas pour moi", performed by Daniela Simmons and composed by Atilla Şereftuğ, with lyrics written by Nella Martinetti.

At the close of the voting the song had received 140 points, placing 2nd in a field of 20 competing countries.
