Sylve Bengtsson

Sylve Boris Bengtsson (2 July 1930 – 30 April 2005) was a Swedish association football forward.

[1][2] Bengtsson started his career in Halmstads BK at the age of 17 in 1947 against Djurgårdens IF, a 0–5 defeat.

He was part of the Sweden national team that defeated West Germany to win a bronze medal in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.

[3] After the Summer Olympics he returned to Halmstads BK and helped the club back up in Allsvenskan, in season 1954–55 he won the Stora Silvret with the club and in the following season he became the top goalscorer with 22 goals.

In 1967, he returned to Halmstads BK as a playing coach and in 1968 he became manager for Laholms FK, shortly south of Halmstad, he then returned to Halmstads BK as teamleader; he made a short time as manager yet again for the club during the summer of 1971 and led the club back to Allsvenskan.
