Szczepan Hołowczyc

[3] He was the son of Basil and Mary Hołowczyc (née Ostaszkiewicz), who came from a Belarusian noble family located near Pinsk.

From 1774 to 1776, he traveled Europe for scientific purposes; upon returning to Poland, he was made secretary to Andrzej Młodziejowski[4] and later Michał Jerzy Poniatowski.

[8] On 17 December 1819, Hołowczyc was appointed Primate of Poland, succeeding Poniatowski.
