She obtained great attention during the 2019 Chilean protests, mostly due to her wearing a costume of the character Pikachu from the Japanese media franchise Pokémon.

Seeing how they were unable to get a refund, Grandón and her husband planned to sell the items, but kept an inflatable Pikachu costume to use for Halloween.
