Tătăranu is a commune located in Vrancea County, Romania.

It is composed of five villages: Bordeasca Nouă, Bordeasca Veche, Mărtinești, Tătăranu, and Vâjâitoarea.

The commune is located in the southeastern part of the county, on the banks of the Râmnicul Sărat River.
