Tłuszcz [twuʂt͡ʂ] (translation: Fat, German: Tluschtsch) is a town in Wołomin County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, with 8,039 inhabitants (2021).
During the Polish–Soviet War, in the night of 12–13 August 1920, Tłuszcz was the scene of a skirmish between the Poles and the invading Russians,[2] part of the Battle of Warsaw (1920).
For several years since 1939, the town of Tłuszcz was controlled in World War II by Nazis who removed pockets of Jews from the city,[3] shot and killed many of the same, and segregated various Jewish populations away from Tłuszcz borders.
