Talmage (variant, Talmadge)[2] is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mendocino County, California, United States.
It lies in the southeastern part of the Ukiah Valley and is home to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, one of the largest Chan Buddhist temples in the United States.
[2] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2), 99.87% of it land and 0.13% of it water.
