Taylor Drysdale (January 14, 1914 – February 9, 1997) was an American competition swimmer and swimming coach.
Drysdale represented the United States at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany.
[1][2] Drysdale attended the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the Michigan Wolverines swimming and diving team under Hall of Fame Coach Matthew Mann in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 1932 to 1935.
[4][5] He later earned master's degrees in nuclear physics and mathematics from the University of Michigan, joined the U.S. military, worked on the Manhattan Project, and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel.
[6] Drysdale was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame as an "Honor Pioneer Swimmer" in 1994.
