Edward Nealon (24 November 1929 – 28 January 2014) was an Irish Fine Gael politician and journalist.
After the November 1982 general election, another Fine Gael–Labour Party coalition government was formed in December under Taoiseach Garret FitzGerald.
Nealon was appointed as Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach with responsibility for Arts and Culture,[4][1] and in February 1983, he was appointed to the additional post of Minister of State at the Department of Posts and Telegraphs, with special responsibility for broadcasting.
In 2008, he published Tales from the Dáil bar, a collection of anecdotes featuring many of the characters of Irish politics.
He won a Jacob's Award for his hosting of the television coverage of the 1973 Irish general election results.
