Televisión Universitaria, also known as TVU, is a Bolivian over-the-air television station, launched on March 1, 1973, by the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University.
The channel broadcast three days a week, its first director was Noel Alderete Arteaga and Alfredo Quiroz the first technician.
[4] In 2013, the station was introducing a new transmitter enabling viewers to receive the signal with better quality.
[2] On November 11, 2019, TVU was one of the media outlets that announced a voluntary shutdown due to threats facing the resignation of Evo Morales.
[5] An agreement was signed with Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación in August 2023, with the aim of digitizing the signal.
