21,333 children were in the age group of 0–6 years, of which 10,939 were boys and 10,394 were girls.

[6] The mandal also forms a part of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region under the jurisdiction of APCRDA.

[8] As of 2011[update] census, the mandal has thirteen villages with one town.
