The "beam" from the old weighbridge is located outside the historic store as a reminder of that time.

Tenindewa contained the last manual telephone exchange in Western Australia; it was closed on 13 April 1985.

Kathleen Palmer emigrated to Australia from England in 1914 aged 14 years.
