The 1980 Annual World's Best SF

The 1980 Annual World's Best SF is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W. Saha, the ninth volume in a series of nineteen.

The paperback edition was later reissued by DAW under the variant title Wollheim's World's Best SF: Series Nine.

The book collects eleven novellas, novelettes and short stories by various science fiction authors, with an introduction by Wollheim.

"Out There Where the Big Ships Go" placed fourth in the 1980 Locus Poll Award for Best Novelette.

"The Extraordinary Voyages of Amélie Bertrand" was nominated for the 1979 Nebula Award for Best Short Story and placed thirteenth in the 1980 Locus Poll Award for Best Short Story.
