The History of Caves is a soundtrack by American folk musician Josh Tillman and was released under his own name via Sub Pop.

The album is an LP release only and is a "Black Friday exclusive",[2] limited to 2,000 copies.

It was recorded as a score for the identically titled short film of his wife, Emma Elizabeth Tillman.

Except for the a capella track "Titles Theme For Boy Voices" the album is wholly instrumental.
