The Prince of Avenue A

The Prince of Avenue A is a 1920 American drama film directed by John Ford.

[1][2] As described in a film magazine,[3] Barry O'Connor (Corbett), son of Patrick O'Connor (Cummings), plumber and political power, is called to the residence of William Tompkins (Vroom), Tammany man, whom he is to "put over" in the coming election.

At the affair Barry's crude ways bring forth criticism and he leaves, offended.

His father threatens to withdraw his support of the candidate but later changes his mind.

This begins the romance that culminates in the marriage of Barry and Mary.
