The song was released as the album's lead single in July 2003 and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In the United Kingdom, the song was released on a double A-side with "Step in the Name of Love" and in selected territories with "Snake," both lifted from his previous album Chocolate Factory (2003).
