Thomas Barbour (Virginia politician)

Thomas Barbour (1735 – May 16, 1825)[1][2] was a prominent landowner and member of the Virginia House of Burgesses.

[1][2] His elder brother James Barbour represented Culpeper County, Virginia in the House of Burgesses from 1761 to 1765.

Congressman from Virginia and an associate justice of the United States Supreme Court).

[1][2] Barbour served as Justice of the Peace for Orange County, from 1768 until his death.

[4] Thomas died at his son James Barbour's plantation, Barboursville on May 16, 1825.
