Jennings Bailey

[1] He was the son of Elizabeth Margaret Lusk and Senator James E.

[2] He was a special commissioner in 1915, and was a deputy clerk and master in chancery in Nashville from 1915 to 1918.

[2] Bailey was nominated by President Woodrow Wilson on May 16, 1918, to an Associate Justice seat on the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia (District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia from June 25, 1936.

[2] He was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 22, 1918, and received his commission the same day.

[2] He assumed senior status on November 1, 1950 and served in that capacity until his death in 1963.
