Thornborough, Buckinghamshire

Thornborough is a village and civil parish in north Buckinghamshire, England, around 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Buckingham.

Near the bridge on the north side of the road are the Thornborough Mounds, two tumuli in which Roman remains were found in 1839.

A second pub, The Lone Tree, on the outskirts of the village on the A421 closed for refurbishment in 2004 and shortly after re-opening it was severely damaged by fire on 26 November 2007.

To the north of the village is the remains of an old windmill and on the River Great Ouse are the buildings of what used to be a working watermill.

The parish boundary follows the line of Padbury Brook (which joins the river Great Ouse at 'The Twins').
