Thyas coronata

Thyas coronata is a species of moth of the family Erebidae first described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1775.

It is found from the Indo-Australian tropics of southern China, Taiwan, Japan, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka to Micronesia and the Society Islands.

There is an outwardly oblique slightly sinuous antemedial line and small round greyish orbicular can be seen.

Hindwings orange with broad medial and sub-marginal fuscous black bands not reaching inner margin.

Costal and outer areas of both wings dark speckled and with a slight reddish suffusion.
