Tim Long (American football)

Timothy Joe Long (born April 20, 1963) is an American former professional football player and coach.

He was selected by the Minnesota Vikings as a left tackle in 1985 and also played for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) as a center in 1987.

Long attended Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tennessee, graduating in 1981.

[4] After his retirement from playing, Long volunteer coached the offensive line for Briarcrest Christian School[5] for 9 seasons.

He coached Michael Oher who was portrayed in the movie The Blind Side as well as both of his sons who later attended the University of Georgia on football scholarships.
