Tito Vázquez

Modesto "Tito" Vázquez (born 1 January 1949) is a tennis coach and former professional player from Argentina.

Vázquez, born in Galicia region of Spain, emigrated to Buenos Aires with his family at a young age.

[1] A successful junior in Argentina, he went to UCLA and played NCAA tennis from 1967 to 1971 on a team that featured Jimmy Connors.

He made it to the fourth round of the 1970 US Open and en route defeated Pancho Segura, who was making his final singles appearance in a Grand Slam.

[3][4] At the 1974 French Open, Vázquez partnered Guillermo Vilas in the men's doubles and the pair reached the quarter-finals.
