Tlučná is a municipality and village in Plzeň-North District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.
The name was derived from the Czech word tluč, which then probably meant 'barley' or other pounded grain.
[2] Tlučná is located about 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Plzeň.
The first written mention of Tlučná is from 1115, when Duke Vladislaus I donated the village to the monastery in Kladruby.
[5] There are two protected cultural monuments in the municipality: a calvary from the second half of the 17th century and a former manor house, of which only the Neoclassical granary and the Neo-Gothic chapel survived.
