Tom Banks (rugby union, born 1858)

Thomas Banks (17 August 1858 – 8 September 1915) was an English rugby footballer who played in the 1880s and 1890s.

Banks was born in the County Borough of Salford, Lancashire, England on 17 August 1858.

[1] He studied at the University of Edinburgh Medical School; while there, he won the long-distance swimming championship.

[2] Banks died in Salford on 8 September 1915, at the age of 57.
