Thomas Joseph O'Boyle (August 21, 1917 – July 19, 2000) was an American football player, coach, scout, and college athletics administrator.
O'Boyle was selected by Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 1941 NFL draft, but remained at Tulane in 1941 as an assistant coach.
[1] He served in the United States Navy during World War II and returned to Tulane as an assistant coach in 1946.
In 1947, O'Boyle was hired as head football coach and athletic director at Southwest Missouri State College.
He remained a coach with the team through their merger into the National Football League (NFL) until the end of the 1974 season.
