Tony Devenish

Anthony Stuart Devenish (born 31 March 1968) is a British politician who served as the member of the London Assembly for West Central between 2016 and 2024.

[2] Graduated from Coventry Polytechnic with BA (Hons) Degree in Modern Studies, former member of the Federation of Conservative Students.

Prior to his political career, he worked in infrastructure and property, with roles at Rolls-Royce from 1990 to 1997 (where he was one of the youngest overseas managers for the company), Kvaerner (1998–99) and Thames Water (1999–2004).

He represents a ward centred on the affluent areas of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, which can be considered a safe seat for his party, the Conservatives.

[3][4][5] He stood as the Conservative candidate in Houghton and Washington East, a safe seat for the Labour Party, at both the 2001 and 2005 general elections.
