The journal is published annually by the Washington & Jefferson College faculty and is printed in monograph format.

Past topics have included John Keats, the Whiskey Rebellion, pirates, Rebecca Harding Davis, religion in the eighteenth century, and Italian Americans in Western Pennsylvania.
