Topsfield is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Topsfield in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States.
[2] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.7 square miles (7.1 km2), of which 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 1.41%, is water.
[3] At the 2000 census, there were 2,826 people, 1,016 households and 765 families residing in the CDP.
The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.16% White, 0.11% African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.42% from other races, and 0.67% from two or more races.
22.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
